Mathena Student Center
The Mathena Student Center at Spurgeon College, dedicated on October 16, 2018, is a state-of-the-art facility that fulfills a vision dating back to the institution's 1957 founding. Made possible through a $7 million lead gift from Harold and Patricia Mathena of Edmond, Oklahoma, along with contributions from other generous donors, the center serves as both an athletic facility and student hub. The building houses the college's basketball and volleyball programs while supporting the broader mission of training ministers and students for church and kingdom service. This multi-purpose facility represents the realization of a long-held dream to provide a gymnasium for student well-being and formation, now serving as a vital part of campus life for both Spurgeon College and Midwestern Seminary.
