In 2025, the Spurgeon Knights coaching staff announced that Brooklyn Elder would be the Head Coach for the women’s soccer team!
Brooklyn received her Master’s of Science and bachelor’s in Business with a minor in sports management. She played soccer throughout her years of attending College. She played for Johnson County Community College in 2013-15, Colorado Mesa University in 2015-16, Bethany College in 2016-17, and the University of Nottingham in 2018-20. After receiving her coaching license she assisted at Missouri Southern State University in 2017-28, head coached for Christ Prep Academy girls in 2022, and assisted at Avila University.
Coach Brooklyn is “very excited about this new position because I truly believe God called me here at this time to invest into Spurgeon College athletics and the young women that are, and will be, a part of this team.” She looks forward to the growth to come in her career as a collegiate head coach and is grateful to be doing it in a Christ centered environment.
