Kansas City, Mo. – The Spurgeon Knights (1-6-0) matched up against Kansas Christian College (6-5-0) Tuesday night. The Knights took an early 2-0 lead in sets, but KCC did not go down without a fight taking the third set. The fourth set was thriller from start to finish, ending 25-22 in favor of the Knights. This marks the first win in their program's history, and they look to continue to build on this win the rest of the season.

How it Happened
- The Knights made a key change in their lineup against KCC, Katie Werner, was coming off injury and was inserted in the lineup. Katie led the team with 10 digs but also chipped in 8 points of her own.
- Kansas Christian College came on strong in the third set, winning 25-11 to force some pressure on the Knights. KCC was led in points by Laney Strahan with 18 and Ariel Webb helped with 10 digs.
- The Knights capitalized on their first win behind Mollie Singleton, who led the game with the most points with 24. Freshman Lizzie Deaton led the team with 19 aces.
