At the Central Bank Sporting Complex, the Spurgeon College Knights pulled off a thrilling 2-1 victory against Kansas Christian College on September 27, 2024. This hard-fought match showcased the Knights' determination and skill as they battled back to secure the win.
 
How It Happened:

The game kicked off hard, with KCC putting the pressure on the Knights. They made their first goal in the 10^th minute, which was discouraging for the home team, but they sought to rally. Spurgeon responded with numerous attempts at goal. Their efforts paid off in the 33^rd minute when Andres Mendoza scored, assisted by Caleb Hawkins, leveling the score 1-1. The teams went into halftime tied, setting the stage for a dynamic second half.
 
As the second half unfolded, the Knights grew desperate. The teams became rougher with one another, resulting in numerous fouls and yellow cards. The pressure was on, but in a thrilling finish, Sage Ballard found the back of the net in the 88^th minute, again assisted by Caleb Hawkins, sealing the victory for Spurgeon with a final score of 2-1.
