The game kicked off hard, with KCC putting the pressure on the Knights. They made their first goal in the 10
th minute, which was discouraging for the home team, but they sought to rally. Spurgeon responded with numerous attempts at goal. Their efforts paid off in the 33
rd minute when
Andres Mendoza scored, assisted by
Caleb Hawkins, leveling the score 1-1. The teams went into halftime tied, setting the stage for a dynamic second half.
