Spurgeon scored a mere 12 minutes into the match. Joao Pedro Pereira made the breakthrough, assisted by
Caleb Hawkins. As the first half continued, so did Spurgeon's fighting spirit. In the 30th minute,
Sage Ballard found the back of the net, assisted by his brother
Rylen Ballard. The crowd erupted once again, with Spurgeon now leading by two goals. But Spurgeon was not done yet. Just six minutes later,
Sage Ballard scored his second goal of the game, again assisted by
Rylen Ballard. Spurgeon ended the first-half onslaught with a goal from
Jackson Edwards, assisted by
Sage Ballard, giving them a commanding 4-0 lead at halftime.

In the second half, Spurgeon refocused on defense. With such an advantage, they simply moved their energy to keep Union occupied until the end of the game. The tension between the two teams mounted, resulting in two yellow cards on Spurgeon and fouls from both sides. However, Spurgeon held their position and carried their 4-0 lead to the end of the game.
