Kansas City, MO – The Spurgeon Knights men's soccer team took on the Ozark Christian College Ambassadors on September 2
nd in their second home game of the season.
The first half began with the Knights quickly dominating the game. The Knights were able to possess the ball for most of the half but weren't able to score. Finally,
Josiah Sherrill took the ball down to the end line and passed it back to
Abner Antonio who then shot the ball into the back of the net. The half then ended with the Knights up 1-0.
The second half began, and the Knights came out strong and fast. The Knights moved the ball much better and began creating a lot of chances.
Abner Antonio,
Ezra Broadus,
Grant Smith, and
Josiah Sherrill were all able to score in the second half leading to a 5-0 victory for the Knights.
The Knights will take the field again on September 6
th against Calvary University at Swope Park.
