The Knights' volleyball team took to the road to meet Champion Christian Community Center on their home court in Hot Springs, AR. Though playing on enemy territory, the Spurgeon Knights fought their way to a thrilling victory.

How it Happened:
- The first set opened with Champion taking an aggressive lead. Though the Knights fought to catch up and regained some control in the last several minutes of the game with some excellent kills by Lizzie Deaton, Champion took the first set 25-23.
- Game two opened similarly but the Knights took a fierce stand, adjusting to their opponents' intensity. By the middle of the game, the Knights were inching ahead of Champion and holding a tentative lead. The last five points were battled for earnestly, each team matching one another. However, Timry Goodman sealed the set 25-23 for Spurgeon College with a service ace.
- Set three, the Knights started strong again, but Champion overtook them and held their lead at the 8th point through to the finish, winning the game 25-15.
- The Knights were feeling the pressure as the fourth set opened. Champion took the lead quickly, leaving Spurgeon far behind. However, Spurgeon regrouped and capitalized on their opponents' errors. With a final firm push from Deaton and Goodman, the Knights took the set 25-19.
- In the fifth set, both teams were tired and errors were frequent. However, the Knights held on and pulled ahead, winning the game and the match 15-13.

Highlights:
- Lizzie Deaton was once again the leader of points made with 17 kills, more than half of the total kills made by the Knights.
- Timry Goodman, as the team's setter, led in assists (27) and service aces (5).
- Despite being a fiercely contested match, the Knights proved their mettle, turning a potentially challenging game into a triumphant victory. Their performance showcased the team's skill and determination, giving Spurgeon fans plenty to cheer for, even from afar.
