The Knights secured a commanding 3-1 victory against the Barclay College Bears at the Hockett Auditorium in Haviland, KS, on Sept. 21^st. The Knights improved their record with this win, displaying a strong offensive performance led by Timry Goodman, Lizzie Deaton, and Annaliese Barnes. The Bears, despite a valiant effort, struggled to keep pace in key moments of the match.
 
Spurgeon opened the match with dominance, quickly establishing control and taking the first set 25-15. The second set was a hard-fought battle, with the Bears rallying to claim a narrow victory at 28-26. The Knights responded decisively in the third set, dominating once more with a score of 25-15. Though the Bears fought valiantly, Spurgeon secured the final game with a 25-20 win, finishing strong to close out the competition.
 
Highlights:

• A standout player for the Knights, Timry Goodman recorded 7 kills and 35 assists, demonstrating her playmaking abilities and critical role in the team's offense.
• With 12 kills, Lizzie Deaton was instrumental in the Knights' attack, contributing significantly to their scoring efforts despite a few errors.
• Annaliese Barnes and Madison Moyer were right behind Deaton in kills, with 10 and 9 respectively.
• Three Knights made 4 service aces in the match—Timry Goodman, Faith Simmons, and Josephine Dull. Lydia Swartz was right behind with 3 of her own.
