Kansas City, Mo. – The Spurgeon Knights (1-2-0) traveled to Joplin, Missouri to face Ozark Christian College (3-6-0) this past Thursday afternoon. The match was all square after 90 minutes and it went into overtime. The rules were "golden goal" and OCC managed to find the goal to secure their win over the Knights 4-5.

How it Happened
- The Knights had a commanding lead in the first half. Jared Dean and Chris Alsano each had a goal. OCC was responsible for letting an own goal through which helped get the Knights up 3-1.

- OCC scored right before the end of the first half to cut the lead to just 1. OCC was able to battle back and force overtime. In the second half of overtime, the Knights were not able to hold off OCC.

The Knights will have their home-opener in three weeks, a rematch is set against CCCB. The match is set for Saturday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m. The match will be played at Faith Christian Academy.
