Knights Defeat Bob Jones to Advance to Final Four

In a nail-biting contest that showcased the resilience and determination of the Knights, Spurgeon College secured a dramatic 99-97 victory over Bob Jones University in the National Tournament on March 13, 2025. The win marks another significant milestone in what has become a historic season for Spurgeon College basketball.

Overcoming First-Half Deficit
The Knights found themselves trailing 56-50 at halftime despite a remarkable 21-point first-half performance from Jack Chamberlin. Spurgeon's defense struggled to contain Bob Jones University's offensive attack, which shot an impressive 51.35% from the field in the opening period.

Second-Half Surge
Showing the heart of champions, Spurgeon rallied in the second half behind a balanced offensive effort. Drew Middleton caught fire, scoring 14 points in the second half including four crucial three-pointers. Diego Sanchez provided a spark off the bench with 10 second-half points, while Zion Bourgeois added 8 points on perfect 3-for-3 shooting to fuel the comeback.

The Knights were led by several outstanding individual efforts:
