Spurgeon College's commitment to academic excellence has been highlighted as two of its athletic programs have been named 2024 Fall Scholar Teams by the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). This prestigious recognition demonstrates the institution's dedication to fostering both academic and athletic achievement among its student-athletes.

The Women's Soccer team led the way with an exceptional 3.68 grade point average, while the Women's Volleyball team achieved an impressive 3.43 GPA. To earn this distinction, teams must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a 4.00 scale for all combined student-athletes on the team.

Spurgeon College joins an elite group of institutions recognized for their academic prowess, being one of just 42 schools represented in the list of 85 Scholar Teams nationwide.
